About Us

Photo Renovate was established in 1998 and grew out of a love for photo restoration and manipulation. We strive to make each and every photo the best it can be. We are located at the foot of the Blue Mountains in Sydney's west. We do not have a shopfront, which helps keep our prices down, if you would like to visit us to discuss your project we are happy to make an appointment to discuss your restoration and photographic needs in person, just contact us here.

All of our work is done digitally; therefore your original photo is never harmed in any way. Your memories are precious to us too.

Terms Of Service

Photo Renovate offer digital photo restoration and image manipulation and artistic services. We work with digital images both scanned from paper or film base or a digital photo camera.

By submitting images for digital manipulation, you authorize Photo Renovate to perform any work on images. You certify that they are submitted either on your behalf or from the copyright holder of the images. Any professionally taken photograph is under the photographer's copyright and can only be manipulated with their permission. By submitting photos to us for restoration or manipulation you affirm that no copyright is infringed. We will not be liable to you or any third party for such copyright infringement.

Photo Renovate uses only licensed software: Adobe Photoshop CS4 and a full set of additional plug-ins. But we refrain from using computer filters when possible and work on each pixel individually to attain the best results.

Quotes and Estimates

Quotes

We don't charge by the hour as we feel that you don't deserve a rushed job to keep to a price. If your photo takes a bit longer than we estimate when we give you your quote then that's at our expense. We like to give you the best result we can.Once as we quote a price we will stand by it, providing you do not change your requirements. Should you change requirements we reserve the right to adjust the price accordingly.

Estimates

Estimatesare given when we are unable to give you a firm quote for various reasons. For Example you can explain the damage to a photo but are unable to show us with a scan. or if you cannot scan your photo but can photograph your photo. Scans provide us with more detail and we are able to give you a firm quote but photos of photographs do not show all of the blemishes making it difficult for us to give you a firm quote. We try to avoid giving estimates if possible but in some cases it's an impossible task and to give our customers an approximate cost of their restoration with an estimate is the best we can do. If we do give you an estimate we will convert it to a firm quote once we can see a scan of the photograph.

Please Note

Due to the increasing problem of fraud on the internet we are no longer accepting orders without a deposit of at least 50% of the quoted price. We have been trusting in the past but unfortunately our trust has been abused by unscrupulous people who want us to do work for them and then try to avoid paying for it. Therefore we have reluctantly decided that a deposit is required BEFORE we commence any job over the internet.

Your Privacy

At Photo Renovate we respect your privacy. We will never trade, sell, rent or loan any of your personal information, including your email address that you provide us to any other company or person. When you order from us, we may collect information necessary to complete your photo restoration order, including your name, email address, shipping address. Pay Pal handles our credit card processing which means we do not collect any credit card information.
